Ritu releasing on March 7, Censor grants U certificate

The censor board has granted an ‘U’ certificate to ‘Ritu’, the movie releasing on March 7, 2014 in theaters all over Nepal. The movie featuring Miss Nepal 2011, Malina Joshi, Reema Bishowkarma and Raj Ballav Koirala in leading role is directed by Manoj Adhikari. The movie mostly shot in Australia features some beautiful scenes in Australia and Nepal.

‘Ritu’ produced jointly by Shailu Acharya, Ashok Gautam, Suraj Pradhan and Apil Bista. The movie features the script of Sandeep Badal, music of Hemanata Rana and Suji Karmacharya, editing of Bharatmani Regmi, cinematography of Sushan Prajapati and the choreography of Bhimshen Gurung.

Namrata Shrestha to be featured in an item dance in Adhakatti

In the debut movie of journalist Subrat Acharya as a director – ‘Adhakatti’, an item dance is made on the name of actress Namrata Shrestha. Subrat approached Namrata to dance on the song, ‘Kya Kamal, Babal Chau Namrata …’ and she agreed.

This will be the first time Namarata will dance in any item dance. In the movie, Namrata will appear in a character of a film actress. The lyrics written by Ranjit Acharya has music of Rajan Ishan. The voices are given by Yuvraj Chaulagai, Nisha Desar and Rajan Ishan.
The movie being produced by Pradeep Kumar Uday is going to feature actors like Dayahang Rai, Ashishma Nakarmi, Rista Basnet, Gaurav Pahadi, Pradeep Bastola and others. The film team hasn’t been complete yet and there is a possibility of change in team members over time.

In another news, Ashishma is also doing ‘Figure Coca cola…’, another item number in the movie. The item dance is composed by Basanta Sapkota on the lyrics of Kiran Michael and voices of Prahlad Timilsina and Jenisha Poudel.

Nir Shah to make a movie and a television serial on Seto Bagh

Based on one of the most successful historical novel by Diamond Shumsher Rana, ‘Seto Bagh’, Nir Shah is planning to make a movie and a television serial. On the occasion of Shree Panchami, Nir Shah organized a program to announce the movie and the megha-serial. The shooting of the serial is expected to start in a couple of weeks.

The television serial will be spanned in 91 parts and the movie will be of length 2.5 hours. The shooting of both the serial and the movie will start at the same time. In the program Nir Shah told that he will make the serial and the movie the photocopy of the novel. In the movie, he will also present the last 30 days of the Rana prime minister Jung Bahadur Rana.
Nir Shah had been working on the movie for the last two and half years. The shooting will be done in Kathmandu, Chitwan and Makawanpur. All the 57 new artists in the movie were selected through audition. The movie is being produced under the banners of Mahashakti Multimedia Pvt. Ltd. and Nir Cinema Pvt. Ltd. The producers are Manjushree Rana, Puran Rana, Rabindra Shumsher Rana and Dr. Khayati Rana.

Nir Shah estimated a budget of Rs. 1 crore. The movie will feature the music of Sambhujit Baskota, cinematography of Sanjay Lama, costume of Nira Rana and the script of Nir Shaha. The shooting of the movie is expected to complete in a month and a half.

Vigilante premiered, releasing on April 5

The first 3D movie in Nepali movie industry history, ‘Vigilante’ was premiered on April 2 in Kathmandu. The movie directed by Dipendra K Khanal features Priyanka Karki, Raj Ghimire,  Menuka Pradhan, Shankar Acharya, Subash Thapa, Dipsikha Shahi (Sikha Shahi) etc. The movie is releasing all over Nepal on April 5, 2013.

The movie is made on the story written by Shan Basnyat and categorized as a social thriller. The movie is mostly shot in a jungle and it states how a person can become ‘Vigilante’ for love.

The movie is publicized by using vulgar dialogues and publicized as the first movie in which boys are being raped a girls.

Shilpa Pokhrel to debut in Lazza, Chhabi changing actresses

Producer Chhabi Raj Ojha is going to introduce a new actress – Shilpa Pokhrel in his upcoming movie ‘Lazza’. Chhabi announced the new movie with the announcement of the release of ‘Loafer’.

Before the separation, Rekha Thapa used to be the only actress Chhabi used to work. Now, he seem to be changing actress in every movies. So far, Chhabi has produced/announced three movies and all three movies have different actresses.
