A girl died after she was crushed by a falling tree at Jyamire-8 in Sankhuwasabha district on Monday.
Apeksha Pokharel ,2, daughter of local Shanti Ram Pokharel was killed when the tree the girl's father cut down fell upon her while she was playing near around there, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rupam Lama.
Father Shalikram was severely injured while trying to rescue his daughter. He is being treated at the district hospital, Khandbari.
